Once again, the Linz Art Salon provides an attractive showcase for artists. It invites visitors to discover trends and movements in contemporary art within the historic setting of Linz Castle. Eighteen galleries and associations are presenting works by over 70 artists, offering an insight into the diversity of contemporary art in Upper Austria and beyond. The selection of works is left to the respective galleries and associations, whilst the Linz Castle Museum provides the prestigious, physical and organisational framework for the exhibition. The spectrum of works on display ranges from large-scale paintings and experimental photography, through large-scale installations, to digital art and conceptual works. Many of the works on display engage intensively with current social issues such as sustainability, identity and transformation. Alongside established names from the Austrian art scene, the Linz Art Salon also gives young, up-and-coming talents the chance to present their work to a wide audience. This offers the public the perfect opportunity to discover young art and support creative endeavours in Upper Austria.
