04.11.2026 – 17.01.2027
Salzburg is celebrating no fewer than two anniversaries and one major celebration: in 2026, the City of Salzburg will mark the long-standing existence of its two international exchange programmes. For 40 years, the city has been offering an exchange programme for artists in the field of visual arts. A cultural brand known as AIR has been established, which thrives on long-standing cross-border collaborations with partner organisations. For the past 20 years, SIR has been the second pillar of the City of Salzburg’s international presence. It invites researchers from all over the world to work in Salzburg and to network with local institutions.
