November sees the 41st Mar del Plata International Film Festival, Argentina’s most important film festival and the only A-list festival in Latin America. The Austrian Embassy in Buenos Aires is supporting the screening of “Everytime” by Sandra Wollner. The film won the top prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. “Rose” by Markus Schleinzer is screening in the “Ganadoras de grandes festivales” section. Sandra Hüller won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale for her role, and the film was also submitted as Austria’s entry for the Oscar in the “Best International Feature Film” category. Marie Kreutzer’s Cannes competition entry “Gentle Monster” can be seen in the “Autores” section, whilst the Liechtenstein-Austrian-Argentine co-production “Helmut, el hielo y la eternidad transitoria” by Helmut Ditsch and Zuzy Praus is in the “Estados alterados” section.
