Data and algorithms do not only control machines, but increasingly influence our thinking and actions, including art and science.
The esc laboratory tries to make the process of exchange between man and machine visible and audible. The project “Algorithms that Matter” (IEM) explores algorithmic building blocks. Researched from the space of sounds and graphics, algorithms are transferred into the model using different materials. The materials threads, nets, paper, wire, mesh, foils are used for transmission. The result is a walk-in room installation that has been associated with sound.
