The Lendwirbel goes into the next round – the street festival that celebrates art, culture and neighbourhood takes up the challenge to go online.
The Graz neighbourhood festival Lendwirbel again invites everyone to join in the whirl at the beginning of May. This year, the festival will take place from May 1st to 10th and thus takes up a new challenge. How to deal in times of corona, minimum distance and mask obligation? Because above all questions of living together are at the discursive centre of Lendwirbel: The Lendviertel serves as a stage for political and human thought, art, culture and music. Creating awareness, development and the sustainable use of public space are basic ideas of Lendwirbel.
In order to be able to take place this year, the organizers ask for suitable online formats such as balcony concerts, virtual discussion groups or living room concerts. For those who need a stage, there is also the possibility to stream live from the Volkshaus on a stage, of course in compliance with all safety regulations. And if you have a work of art that you would like to have exhibited virtually, you can also do this – the Lendwirbel Gallery will publish the submitted works of art on the Lendwirbel homepage. If you want to organize something on your own and can convert it into a stream, Lendwirbel will help you with the necessary distribution.
