Speed dating with a difference: Styrian folk culture invites you to 20 interactive short events in the districts of Graz. Under the motto “Tradition (er) leben” (live), the various folk cultural associations show that tradition and zeitgeist of the most diverse cultural activities are connected and always have a place in everyday life. There will be short knowledge inputs paired with the opportunity to participate.
Experience and live in a time span of 20 minutes. Special dates take place in the form of “sing”, a singing day of the Styrian Folk Song Association, “Folk Culture in Motion”, an event where the associations transform the city center into a playground and the “Styrian Culture Talks”, which are dedicated to urban folk culture (s) as a finale on 10.06.2021.
This project is a cooperation of ARGE Volkstanz Steiermark, Bund Steirischer Heimatdichter, Chorverband Steiermark, Chorregion Graz, Landestrachtenverband Steiermark, Trachtverband Graz und Umgebung, Steirischer Blasmusikverband, Blasmusikverband Graz-Stadt, Steirisches Volksliedwerk, Verein Sänger- und Musikantentreffen, Volkskultur Steiermark GmbH.
