In the 35 years of its existence, the Kunsthalle Exnergasse has accumulated a lot of forgotten, abandoned and donated items: Materials, works of art, things that could still be used. What knowledge does this random collection convey about the history(ies) of the Kunsthalle and about the people who contributed to it? What alternative stories do these packaged objects possibly tell?
Together with the artist Seth Weiner, the curator Georgia Holz will develop a speculative spatial narrative about this collection. In the course of a collective action, the objects will be unpacked together with the audience, possible narrative threads will be picked up, and buried stories will be brought to the surface.
