“The flowers, the night and love” is intended to signify the openness of the two painters, like that of a white of a white canvas on which everything is still possible to paint. Everything is meant, everything has already created and gone again, a great joy and a desolate sadness, a lake full of lotus and a lotus and a backyard at night, a clear exposure or the chaotic unknown.
Jeannette Frei paints pictures. Of what she sees, what strikes and pleases her, above all, what delights her. Nothing else. Expressive, with all the colours.
Claudia Keel lets sinuous, flowing, chaotic lines wind through the night, through the still untouched. Silent surfaces show a moment of painting as a single form again. In combination, a picture, usually an organic whole, almost abstraction, often blossoms and leaves, rarely a concrete form, but perhaps a garden. In any case, nothing is predictable, devotion leads without predetermination and everything is possible. This creates landscapes of inner movement.
