The Civa media art festival, jointly organized and developed by Belvedere 21 and sound:frame, sheds light on the interplay between current technologies, realities and experiences in digital, physical and hybrid spaces. Under the title coded manoeuvres, this year’s edition of the festival from 1 to 5 October is dedicated to movements and circulations of forms of knowledge and takes a critical look at constructions of intelligence. Understanding intelligence not as a primarily human characteristic or technology, but as knowledgeable entities and organisms, makes it possible to play with a field of tension within which constructions of power and technologies can be decoded and interrupted. How do organisms glide through militarized spheres and break through violent technologies in the process? What survival strategies, manoeuvres and codes are needed to resist binary definitions and appropriations? What symbioses do we imagine and programme? The central element is the exhibition coded manoeuvres_sticky webs.
