The inevitability of human existence between the visible and the invisible, between the individual and the collective and between the actual and the mental space are the key concepts of her artistic practice, in which Slovenian-born Živa Drvarič incorporates elements of intimacy, coexistence and the nature of things. Ephemeral motifs and familiar elements mingle with the unusual. Everyday objects, freed from their primary function, become the protagonists of poetic spatial compositions in which things no longer exist to be activated by us, but are themselves the ones that activate us.
