With its wide range of artistic forms of expression, the exhibition at Schaumbad, curated by Marlies Schöck, makes us realise how multi-layered the complexity of human experience is. Supposedly familiar things are given an unexpected new twist through the presentation in the exhibition space and the relationship between the works. Each of the 34 artistic positions not only contains a very personal, but in some cases unusually intimate approach to the theme, the examination of which is enriched by personal experience and becomes almost physically tangible, be it through drawing, painting, installation, textiles, ceramics or film. By relating and juxtaposing the works, the exhibition space experiences an additional component as an interacting interplay of flowing time and rhythmic pulse.
