Following the success of the exhibition ‘Touch Nature’, curators Sabine Fellner and Alex Ion Radu bring together the works of 45 renowned artists from Romania and Austria in a new large-scale project that breaks down taboos. The exhibition ‘Why “We Should All Be Feminists”’ is a plea – incomplete, of course, but democratic and depolarising – for a change in the way we are accustomed to responding to old social dynamics and constructing new ones (individual, collective, governmental, human-nonhuman, etc.). Artists from both countries attempt to propose solutions and ideas for more equitable, sustainable communities that accept diversity and differences and offer more care for their members – qualities that are more necessary today than ever before. Their impressive works are extremely diverse, ranging from drawings and paintings to video art and installations to contemporary art projects from the 20th and 21st centuries.
