The artist operates within a state of in-betweenness, establishing connections and liberating materials from the fixed forms of their existence. She creates a visual and material language that is in a constant process of becoming. Recurrences in forms and materials serve as a common thread, yet are at the same time merely temporary. Corners, edges, casts and coatings are constantly evolving configurations within her work. It is only within the exhibition space that they find themselves in a moment of stillness — a brief pause within themselves. What happens next in the studio remains open. Not everything is neatly archived. Some things are melted down, rebuilt; others remain. An existence in constant flux within the Extended Field of Sculpture 1 — artist and work in one.
