NOW HERE / NOWHERE is a process-oriented, performative and open exhibition concept that charts fleeting shifts in transitory art spaces and sees itself as a manifesto of the in-between – as a transitional space for ephemeral thought that points beyond art. The exhibition revolves around authorship and the artist’s self-conception. It examines the crisis of the subject as a productive state of transformation and as a starting point for sustainable processes of change. At its heart lies the question of how identity, presence and artistic practice can be repositioned and rethought under the conditions of the in-between.
