Ever since Grieskram was first established, a specific time frame has been set for the event: Grieskram always takes place on the last weekend in September, or on the weekend following the ‘Aufsteirern’ festival. The aim is not only to collaborate with local venues and artists, but also to give residents the opportunity from the outset to get involved in the planning and organisation of this neighbourhood festival. Grieskram – a neighbourhood festival open to everyone: from kebab stalls to art societies. Together, people are encouraged to dance, sing, discuss, listen, eat, laugh and celebrate. Contact is established with local catering businesses and residents through neighbourhood groups and regular public networking meetings.
