This October, the Szemrevaló/Sehenswert Film Festival will be taking place for the 15th time. The festival will screen the most exciting new films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, not only in Budapest but also in Debrecen, Pécs and Szeged. This year’s programme focuses on several female protagonists who discover their own strength and take control of their own destinies. Numerous films also explore the search for a ‘homeland’ and a home, as well as the sustaining power of literature. Three Austrian productions are on the programme this year: *Das geheime Stockwerk*, *Rose* and *The Loneliest Man in Town*.
