At a time when more and more land is being sealed off and built on, the garden proves to be an oasis, a little patch of greenery. A garden is also a shared space – and, at the same time, a place of diversity. Different plants grow side by side, wild and headstrong, delicate and unassuming. It is precisely their diversity that brings the garden to life. ‘Moments in our garden’, the exhibition by the new members of KunstVorarlberg, is conceived as such a shared garden. Artistic perspectives come together, differing in experience, technique and expression. Between these perspectives, new connections and surprising visual relationships emerge. What unites the artists is not a shared visual language, but the decision to shape this garden together.
