The exhibition – curated by Astrid Peterle – with works by the winners of the Kunsthalle Wien 2023 Prize will bring together ten artists who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna or the University of Applied Arts Vienna last year: Jusun Lee and Marielena Stark – the main prizewinners – as well as Željka Aleksić, Mila Balzhieva, Luisa Berghammer, Daniel Fonatti, Valentin Hämmerle, Michael Reindel, Anne Schmidt and Marc Truckenbrodt.
The exhibition sees itself as an institutional amplifier of the artists and their various concerns, which they express through their work. The exhibition is a tribute to the polyphony of artistic perspectives and forms – for the first time, graduates from the Graphics and Printmaking Techniques and Stage Design departments as well as the interdisciplinary Art & Science programme are among the award winners.
