Richard Fleissner: former punk musician, sculptor, painter, draughtsman, graphic artist, object artist and poet. He deals with anachronisms, utilises things that have become superfluous, material waste from the environment and transforms what already exists into something new, thus opening up new perspectives and scope for interpretation. Fleissner’s work attempts to build a bridge between old and new. His current exhibition “Wood Leather Drawing”, curated by Manfred Erjautz, presents a selection of his latest and earlier works. To this end, he has created a spatial installation with objects and drawings at the Akademie Graz.
