In its more than 40 years, the Neuberg Culture Days have developed into one of the most important cultural initiatives in the region and the province of Styria. The festival’s venues are the dormitory in Neuberg Abbey and the cathedral in Neuberg an der Mürz, where the grand opening concert takes place every year.
The opening concert in Neuberg Minster is the first highlight of the Neuberg Culture Days 2024. Director Stefan Vladar has rehearsed Symphony No. 4 in E flat major (WAB 104) for the audience with the Filharmonie Brno to mark the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner’s birth.
The “Gregorian Chant in the Abbey” workshop is brand new in 2024. Anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the richness of Gregorian Gregorian chant and enjoy using their own singing voice are very welcome! The sound spaces of the abbey, where Gregorian chant was sung centuries ago, are particularly inviting.
