The exhibition shows works by Franz Bergmüller whose points of reference are photography and the history of optical media. He is particularly interested in the perception of natural spaces and the changes in perspective brought about by the camera’s gaze, dynamising the oscillation between pictorial effect, illusory reality and reality in the finished work. In his work, he opens up the image surface to three-dimensionality, movement and haptics.
