Gerlinde Thuma’s intention is to grasp the dimensions of time – to thematise the span and the tension between two points in time by means of a tangible object. The fragments depicted enter into dialogue sparingly and very sensitively, making the tension and change palpable. Klaus Wanker creates geometric forms on the coarse canvas that look like macro- or microcosms made from elements of nature. In his latest works, he quotes landscape depictions that are familiar to us, that we remember. These are reinterpreted by the artist and thus appear simultaneously familiar and yet alienated.
