The Viennese artist freakygreenfish constructs speculative worlds using canvas and stretcher frames as an expanded definition of painting through and via social media. Through performances, installations, videos, painting, CGI and sculptures, he explores the boundaries of this definition and addresses social issues with a focus on left-wing theories and cultural studies. In early summer, freakygreenfish will be presenting FrameTokCity: Bot on Bot Crime (2026) at the Salzburg Kunstverein studio, an immersive urban simulation in which AI-generated TikTok bots with competing ideological narratives clash.
