FORT biennale 02 – Reclaiming Collective presents the work of Austrian artist Rosmarie Lukasser, who explores digital spaces of connection and their ambivalent impact on interpersonal relationships. Her works take their starting point from graphical visualisations of global networks – ranging from undersea cables and flight paths to data centres. From this, she develops a distinctive visual language in which the human body takes centre stage. Her figures appear to be interwoven with the digital world in technical, biological and emotional terms, thereby making a significant contribution to the thematic focus of FORT_biennale 02: the questions of community, belonging and techno-capitalism. There are four research areas: Think, Play, Dance, Act. The artist’s presentation is assigned to the Think section, where it enters into dialogue with positions that explore forms of contemporary loneliness.
