The Austrian Pottery Market is one of Europe’s most important ceramics events, combining world-class art with high-quality craftsmanship and the unique atmosphere of Lake Traunsee. Around 130 ceramic artists from 14 countries will be presenting their latest works on Rathausplatz and the Esplanade, once again transforming the ceramics town on Lake Traunsee into an international hub for contemporary ceramic art and high-quality pottery craftsmanship. This year’s guest country is the United Kingdom. Ceramists taking part in ‘Potfest in the Park’ will be displaying their work both at the pottery market and in an accompanying exhibition at Ort Lake Castle. The diverse range on offer extends from artistic one-offs and sculptural pieces to functional ceramics for everyday use. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists in person and purchase their works directly on site. A highlight is the Gmunden Ceramics City Pottery Market Prize, which will be open for entries in 2026 under the theme ‘Ceramics in Public Spaces’. The submitted works are on display at Franz-Josef-Platz.
