Art makes us reflect. Art is meant to bring us joy. Numerous different artistic movements enable us to have these experiences; Surrealism is one of them. By abstracting our reality, our everyday experiences and perceptions are expanded and enriched. Our subconscious, our dreams and spontaneous thoughts can be given visual expression through Surrealism. The term ‘aleatoricism’ refers to the deliberate incorporation of chance into the artistic creative process. These styles are presented by the two artists. The already familiar ‘modern relics’ are also given a new lease of life and form part of the exhibition.
