The exhibition at the Francisco Carolinum is Anouk Lamm’s first solo museum exhibition in Austria. Her conceptual work encompasses painting, sculpture, large-scale installations, text-based art and more. A selection of her most significant body of work is on display in Linz, including the extensive painting series ‘post/pre’ and ‘Lesbian Jazz’, as well as several installation pieces. New sculptural works have also been created specifically for the exhibition. In her artistic practice, Anouk Lamm frequently reflects on repressed aspects of the relationship between humans and animals. Drawing on animal communities, she examines the relationship between the individual and the collective, thereby fundamentally challenging the anthropocentric perspective.
