Is an image a representation of reality?
At Villa Claudia in Feldkirch, a selection of landscape paintings by the artist Johan Jansen can be seen, which can be read as a critical reflection on the various levels of reality in our computer-controlled everyday world.
In the meantime, today’s reality knows many facets. In today’s reality a distinction is made between augmented reality, virtual reality and actual reality.
In Jansen’s series of bridgescapes and streetview landscapes these realities merge seamlessly.
